As the average price of a wedding continues to climb, a lot of people are opting to tie the knot outside of the official wedding season (roughly April-September). This means a whole new season to draw inspiration from to help make your wedding as individual and spectacular as you!

As the days begin to cool off and those beautiful Sussex sunsets arrive a little earlier in the day it’s time to be completely inspired by all things autumn! Here are a few things we’re looking forward to most about Autumn and Winter Weddings.

  1. Autumnal Greenery: No no we don’t just mean eucalyptus, we mean mini pumpkins in complimenting shades of charcoal and burnt orange. Glistening winter berries added into your bouquets for a stunning seasonal touch. The return of indulgently rich autumnal blooms against dramatic grey skies!

  1. Hearty sharing boards: Think piles of hot, sticky brisket, chicory lamb and steaming chicken supreme alongside colourful vegetable skewers and sides with a range of mouth watering potatoes and winter salads. This is relaxed dining for the ultimate chilled autumn wedding.

  1. It being cold enough for us to acceptably pour Head Chef’s Graham’s gravy over everything.

  1. Early sunsets glinting against all things copper: cutlery, table decorations, candle holders and fairy lights in cosy, laughter filled barns.

  1. Beautiful, stately wedding venues covered in frost whilst the TTK team prepare hot, wholesome three course wedding breakfasts.

  1. Bespoke menus of warming pies, glazed root vegetables and seasonal greens served to not only reflect the stunning time of year but also to reflect the personalities and favourite dishes of our wonderful couples!

  1. Hot canapes of pork belly and beef en croute served with bubbly and sloe gin after magical winter ceremonies.

  1. Having a legitimate excuse to eat the kitchen’s butternut squash cannelloni in abundance because it’s officially squash season!

  1. Rich jewel toned bridesmaid dresses complete with gold and rose gold accessories glinting beneath fairy light canopies on crowded dancefloors.

  1. A whole new season of flavours for our brilliant kitchen’s to update and put twists on stunning modern British dishes. Think swapping out tender stem for savoy cabbage, potato salad for roasted new potatoes, fruit desserts for decadent chocolate and caramel. The sky is the limit for creating the menu of your dreams, let us feed your imagination!
