The DIY wedding is on the up. Long gone are the days where your choices were white or pink chair covers and Parma ham vs prawn cocktail for starters.
You are no longer restricted to getting married in a church followed by a hotel reception. Confetti UK revealed that in 2017 61% of couples married in a civil ceremony with a 15% rise from 2009 on barn wedding receptions. With the hopes that a law change will mean UK couples can get married outside these statistics are due an even more radical change in the year to come!
With so many opportunities to create the day of your dreams, we believe that the world of wedding catering is due a much-needed update too! One of the things we pride ourselves on is working with the visions of our couples to create menus that reflect not only the way that they want their day to run but also their wonderful personalities. Desserts from your first holiday together in Italy, oriental inspired canapes, whatever aspects you’d like to incorporate, we are all for it!
We love feedback from clients, it’s one of the ways we can ensure we are always seasonal, always fresh and always relevant.
A couple of years ago you asked us for an alternative to three course dining that meant relaxed food with no queueing and we developed our BBQ Board menus. A range of different meats, sides and salads, served informally to reflect a very laid-back wedding day.
These has been a roaring success with 60% of our couples now choosing relaxed dining over traditional three course! Last year, you asked us if we could provide a menu that felt as relaxed as BBQ Boards without a burger in sight. You were yearning for something new, something for the pub goers, the hearty eaters, the roast lovers.
Well, we are incredibly proud to present our newest menus: The Bistro boards! The new way to wedding breakfast. Indulgent, hearty dishes, busting with flavours to tantalise the taste buds. Modern British classics your guests will love, served informally to reflect and celebrate the love that brought you here in the first place!
Here are a few examples & images from these delicious mix and match boards. If you would like to see our whole menu pack or get a quote email Pippa at [email protected]
